I’m Javi, a recent industrial design graduate from San Francisco State University. I’ve always been fascinated by how things are made, from everyday objects to the spaces we inhabit. Growing up, I was called “manitas de oso” (little bear paws) because I loved taking things apart and sometimes putting them back together, or not. I had a curious mind and wanted to understand how things worked. That curiosity sparked my passion for building, fixing, and designing with intention. As a first-generation Mexican-American from Los Angeles, I draw inspiration from architecture, art, and nature. I focus on simple forms, thoughtful details, and creating designs that feel honest and useful.
